I want to source coffee with The Good Sourcing. How do I start?

The best way to start is to get together and talk about it. Give us a call or send us an email – hello@thegoodsourcing.com, as you prefer. Once you’ve manifested you intent to buy, you will be guided through the 5 simple steps to source coffee with us.

How long does it take to receive my coffee?

If you buy coffee from our existing spot list in Europe, shipping will take a few days if you are in France, up to a week if you are in another European country. If you are sourcing from origin, from the first samples you receive to the first pallets of coffee, the process and take from 3 to 5 months.

Where will the coffee be stored?

Our main warehouse in located in France, but upon demand and for full containers we can store your coffee in Antwerp, the UK or Northern Ireland.

How much does it cost?

Our transparency policy shares FOB prices, costing and margins. The costing and margins depend both on the FOB price of the coffee and the volume. Get in touch with our team for more details or if you wish to get a quote.

What is the minimum order?

Either if you are sourcing from the origin or ordering from our spot list, you can order as little as 1 bag of coffee. However, we do recommend ordering 4 to 5 bags in order to optimize transport costs.

what information do I need to provide to open an account?

The name of your company and billing address.
If you are located in France, you siren number.
If you are located in another European country your VAT number.
If you use our delivery service, we need your shipping details, such as delivery address, and contact details of the person receiving the coffee.

Can I have payment terms?

We give payment terms to our clients after 3 first orders.
For your sourcing at origin and pre-orders, there is a 10% deposit due on the date of the sales contract. The balance is due upon your usual payment conditions. 

Can The Good Sourcing finance a coffee I want to import on my own?

If we can accommodate the coffee in our existing containers and if your finances are up to date with us, we’ll be happy to help.

Can I cancel a coffee reservation bound with a contract?

No. A contract is a legal commitment and we consider a contract a firm sale.

Where are you located?

The Good Sourcing is located in Bordeaux, France. But we are often travelling around.

I am not a coffee roaster, but would like to develop a coffee project. Can you help?

Yes, The Good Sourcing can share its expertise and network of professionals to help you put together any coffee project, as long as you care about the way you source and the people involved with your product.
