“I HAVE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT COFFEE CONSUMPTION AND BUSINESS STRUCTURES, HOWEVER ABOVE ALL, I LEARNED OF A STRONG COMMUNITY.”

I was born and raised in a coffee-growing region in Brazil. Mococa if you must know, lovely town, great coffee people. Until very late, the only image I had of coffee farms consisted on rows of bushes, full sun exposure and purely monoculture. Then, after traveling to different countries and continents I learned of other farming models. From coffee forests in Africa to pranic agriculture in Central America, coffee can be an integrated crop within a complex ecosystem. This inspires me to continue my path within the industry. Also, it puts me in the right energy to stay curious, open and keep being amazed by the new processes, new people, and always, new ways of doing coffee.

I have worked with green coffee for nearly a decade. Before launching THE GOOD SOURCING in early 2023, I worked with roasters all across Europe and the Middle East.

During this time, I have learned a lot about coffee consumption and business structures, however above all, I learned of a strong community. This is important. My background is in finance and commodity trading, a world so often disconnected from the majority of my values, and apart from having loads of fun judging various competitions (something I am still involved with), my professional fulfillment derives heavily from the motivations of this passionate community, forever changing the way we work with coffee.

A NEW WAY in every sense. From how we grow coffee, to how we drink it and now, HOW we trade it.
